CM LAUNCHES RS. 6 BILLION MASSIVE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM FOR GIRL STUDENTS – Fnni.org

CM PUNJAB-1

MONTHLY SCHOLARSHIP FOR GIRL STUDENTS INCREASED BY FIVE TIMES; FOUR LAKH, 60 THOUSAND WILL BENEFIT EVERY YEAR FROM RS. 6 BILLION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM; SAYS ARISTOCRACY SHOULD NOT RUB SALT INTO WOUNDS OF COMMON MAN

LAHORE (FNNI) Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has launched “Khadam-e-Punjab Zewar-e-Taleem Program” in 16 districts of South Punjab under which educational scholarships worth Rs6 billion will be distributed every year to the girl students and this program will benefit more than four lakh and 60 thousand girl students. To make the program transparent, the girl students will be given scholarships through Khidmat cards and this scholarship is aimed at the ensuring school education of girls and is conditional to 80 percent attendance. Through Khidmat cards girl students will be given Rs1000 scholarship every month and it will make five times increase in the scholarship of girls students. I advise the girl students who will get the scholarship to move forward with energy and vigor, and break the status quo to change the destiny of the country. End the culture of plunder and threat, and all girls students should work as a movement and redesign the country as per guidelines and aspiration of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal. If the daughters of the nation will equipment themselves with education, they will not need jewelry of gold and silver. The glitter of wealth has made the aristocracy blind and they criticize the provision of billions of rupees for the girl students. If the criticism regarding the provision of education and medical aid for the 90 percent population is continued, then the country will witness such a revolution that will destroy everything and nothing will survive. We curse the thinking of the people who criticize the scholarships for girl students. Pakistan was not established for the unjust distribution of resources. The aristocracy should stop rubbing salts in the wounds of the poor and do not hurt their sentiments. If the aristocracy did not change its attitude, the suppressed segment of the society will snatch resources from the aristocracy. Pakistan is not a country of the aristocracy and this is the country of the common Pakistanis. Our beloved country was not established for the children of politicians, governors, chief ministers, judges and generals or any other influential groups. But it was established for the common man. On the one hand, there are the people who become a billionaire for being aristocratic or through gambling. On the other hand, there are great Pakistanis people who search for a lawful living after offering fajr prayer but they remain worried about the provision of education and medical facilities for their children despite hard work. We have to destroy this economic system and make Pakistan an Islamic and welfare state in true terms where everybody gets the equal opportunity through honesty and hard work. The criticism of scholarship for daughters of the nation is injustice and cruelty. I cannot be frightened with this criticism. Even the last moment of my life is dedicated to the public and suffering people. I want to provide Rs 60 billion instead of Rs6 billion for the education of the daughters of the nation.CM PUNJAB-2Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed these views at the Aiwan-e-Iqbal while distributing Khidmat card in the girl students. He said this is this historic moment when the girl students are getting scholarships to complete their education in a respectable manner. He said the aristocracy enjoys all facilities, but the poor people drastically need even basic facilities and the aristocracy should stop opposition of the programs aimed at the welfare and development of the common people. He said in the country established by Quaid-e-Azam the system based on the injustice and cruelty of the aristocracy should have to be eliminated otherwise nobody could stop the revolution. He said the aristocracy is unaware how the daughters of the poor families get an education and medical facilities and ensure cruelties of the life. He said the aristocracy provides every possible resource for their children but they criticize the educational scholarships for the poor and this thinking is regrettable. He said Pakistan is not the country of the aristocracy, but it is a country of 20 million people residing in Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir. He said the PML-N government under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has started the war against this cruel system and we are proceeding towards making such Pakistan where everybody will have equal opportunities for progress and development. He said the Punjab government has launched a revolutionary program to provide education to girls students in less developed districts. He said now no mother will be worried that her daughter will be unable to get an education due to a shortage of resources. He said women have proved their talent from Casablanca to Kuala Lumpur in every field of life. He said in medical colleges and universities and other educational institutions girls have outshined the boys, and bright examples of Malala Yousaf Zai and Irfa Kareem are in front of us. He said under the Kadam-e-Punjab Zavre Taleem program launched in 16 districts of South Punjab and the scholarship of girl students has been increased from Rs. 200 to Rs. 1000. He said now daughters of national will have to make the promise that they will ensure their attendance in schools. He said he wants to tell parents of these girls that Pakistan has no shortage of resources and there are brilliants minds as well. He said the nations which were behind us in the past have now left us behind now. He said Pakistan will soon get a respectable position in the world and our country has bright future. He said the system based on cruelty cannot run for a long time and it will soon be eliminated.

Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif said yesterday he visited two hospitals in Multan and what he saw during these visits he cannot mention it here, but I beg to the senior and junior doctors to resolve to suffer from the people in distress and step forward and hold their hand. He said paramedical staff should serve the distressed people round-the-clock. He said doctors should discharge the duty of serving the distressed people instead of protesting on roads because this is a requirement of their noble profession. He said this is unjust the daughter of poor man dies due to negligence in the hospital and nobody is held accountable, while on the other hand if such incident happens to the children of a politician or an influential person and the whole hospital staff held accountable. He said this is not Pakistan for which thousands of sacrifices were rendered under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam and we have to play our role in eliminating this unjust system. He said he is confident that this moth-eaten system cannot run for a long time and a bright future will dawn on Pakistan soon and the country will make progress and there will be justice. He said 10 percent aristocracy class has all resources, but 90 percent common Pakistanis are without resources. He said we have to establish a new city of happiness by ending this cruel economic system and all this is possible through education. He said he warns the aristocracy not to criticize the welfare projects for the common people otherwise everything will be destroyed in the revolution.

Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashhood Ahmed said the scholarship program reflects the mindset of the chief minister to provide education to daughters and sons of the nation. He said the chief minister has added a new chapter in the education reforms of the province. Punjab Finance Minister Ayesha Ghaus Pasha said the provincial government has taken revolutionary steps for the education and empowerment of the women. She said more than 200 centers have been set up to distribute Khidamt cards while 108 mobile centers have also been set up. Vice Chairman PEEF Amjad Saqib said this is a revolutionary program and the chief minister deserves praise for this step. Earlier, the chief minister distributed Khidmat cards. Provincial Ministers, Chief Secretary, lawmakers, teachers, parents and education experts were present in large numbers
