Rawalpindi (FNNI) Punjab Governor, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, attended 'Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Business Role Model Awards ceremony' here in the federal capital.as chief guest. He distributed the Business Role Model Awards. Governor Punjab awarded ICCI Business Role Model Award to Bashir Jan Muhammad, Chancellor Institute of Business Management and Chairman Westbury Group of Companies. Speaking at the ICCI Business Role Model Awards ceremony, Governor Punjab said that Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) has a unique history, adding that ICCI is doing excellent work by promoting business activities. He added that many projects including water filtration plants are to the credit of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He said that the business community is the backbone in the development of the country's economy. He said that the government is taking steps to address the economic challenges. He added that the government was well aware of the problems of the business community and it was taking steps to solve their problems. Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that the doors of the governor's house are always open for businessmen. He said that economy is improving and inflation is gradually decreasing. Instead of fueling negative propaganda, the economy can be improved by fostering positive thinking, he added.
He said that the business community is playing a constructive role in economic improvement. He emphasized the participation of the business community in economic policies and added that it is very important to make a comprehensive economic policy and make it successful. He said that stability will come only with the continuation of economic policies. He underscored the need to provide favorable environment to the business community.
